CPAP Cleaning & Hygiene

Maintaining proper cleaning and hygiene for your CPAP equipment is essential for ensuring effective therapy and safeguarding your health. Regular cleaning helps prevent the buildup of harmful bacteria, mold, and allergens that can compromise your respiratory health and the efficiency of your CPAP device.

By incorporating a few simple practices into your routine, you can keep your equipment in top condition and ensure a safe, comfortable sleep experience.

  • Daily Rinse: Rinse the mask and hose with warm water every morning to remove any residue and moisture.
  • Weekly Wash: Once a week, wash all removable parts, including the mask, tubing, and humidifier chamber, with mild soap and warm water.
  • Filter Check: Regularly check and replace the CPAP filters according to the manufacturer’s recommendations to ensure clean air circulation.
  • Dry Thoroughly: After cleaning, allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling to prevent mold and bacteria growth.
